Alex Weymouth, known as Boujee2basicbites is a self-taught cook turned private chef, food creative and host.

Her philosophy to cooking (and eating) bursts with creativity, harnessing an abundance of different flavours and cuisines, with zero restriction.

“I met food through travel. But I feel in love with it in the kitchen”.


Cooking, creating and eating based out of Melbourne, Australia … Alex’s journey into the food and hospitality industry is ever evolving. She shares her food with others via private dining/restaurant pop ups and food experiences to a growing online community as a creator and host.  

Not only does she love to spend time experimenting in the kitchen, but she equally loves to travel and experience new cultures … creating content to showcase each place through local people, cuisines, restaurants, markets and unassuming venues.

“Food is a constant in my life. Prepared and shared over conversation with friends, experimented with in the kitchen through process and technique to uncovering culture and cuisines through food and flavour”.

At the heart of what she does, Alex provides an accessible point of entry for those wanting to get into the kitchen, cook with new/interesting ingredients and learn to pair flavours. Her desired outcome … enabling others to prepare a meal that parallels dishes straight off the pass at their favourite restaurant.

Alex is based in Melbourne, Australia. She spends much of her time in the kitchen, cooking, creating and sharing food with those around her.

When she’s not there, you’ll find her travelling to new places, meeting new people, all while discovering, cooking and sharing the best food and wine with those far and wide.
